Kevon Neal, 32, of Washington DC, Jaron Anderson, 22 of District Heights, and Kevin Bing, 27, of Washington DC were arrested and charged for a series of burglaries and auto theft by the Montgomery County Police Department.
Detectives say the series of burglaries began on Dec. 17, 2021. In each case, detectives learned that the suspects would operate a black or dark-colored Jeep Cherokee displaying a stolen Maryland temporary license plate.
The three men would drive the vehicle through the shopping centers in the early morning hours, park the Jeep in front of the establishment door that they were preparing to enter, according to police.
Two or three suspects would exit the vehicle and use a pry tool to gain entry. The suspects would remove the cash register drawer, exit the establishment and flee the scene in the Jeep.
On Jan. 7, officers were conducting surveillance when they identified the same Jeep Cherokee known to be connected to the commercial burglaries. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle and the suspects were taken into custody.
